- Sunday, August 19th 2018
The 5th Annual Meritage of Miracles supports Akron Children’s Hospital Mahoning Valley. 100% of the proceeds are donated to the pediatric palliative care program that benefits children with chronic, complex, and life-threatening illnesses.
You’re invited to an evening of intrigue and philanthropy as you will enjoy unlimited, delicious food and wine served by L’uva Bella Winery & Bistro, local craft beer by Birdfish Brewery sponsored by the Houck Family, and live entertainment by Steve Fazzini and Rick Schilling. Family speakers will share their personal stories to showcase how palliative care plays a major role in their lives and our community. Don’t forget to capture the fun at the photo booth sponsored by The Booth Lady!
Chance, silent, and live auctions led by auctioneer Jeff Anglin will feature:
- Cleveland Cavaliers and other sports memorabilia
- Floor seating Cleveland Cavalier tickets including food and beverage service
- Napa Valley VIP Wine Tour Package
- Exclusive jewelry and handbags
- …and many more!
The Mahoning Valley and surrounding counties are in need of increased access to care for many children within the palliative care program. Akron Children’s Hospital Main Campus is an hour and a half away leaving many families with the additional challenge of traveling to Akron to receive life-saving care. Some of these children have hospital stays ranging from weeks to months at a time.
Supporting our initiative to expand the palliative care program to the Mahoning Valley campus of Akron Children’s will greatly increase support close to home. We would truly appreciate your support in helping our community gain access to medical care that increases quality of life for hundreds of children.
I have personally volunteered since 2011 with these brave children, and they are my inspiration for holding the event each year. Although I am still in medical school, I continue to volunteer conduct research, and visit families from the Mahoning Valley.
